Villa Milagro
 |
Villa Milagro
is an early 20th century Mediterranean farmhouse
that really does have it all. Hidden between
two typical Valencian villages in its own
private grounds and surrounded by thousands
of lush orange trees, Villa Milagro is spacious,
tranquil and comfortable. A perfect location
that really makes you feel welcome the moment
you step foot inside. |
It benefits from three marvellous terraces offering
views of the surrounding mountains, orange groves
and beautiful sunsets.
Behind the villa is the river Jucar that can be
easily accessed by those wishing to take an early
evening stroll before dinner or a pleasant bike
ride through the orange groves. During the month
of April, the air is heavily perfumed with the sweet
scent of orange blossom. The villa is approximately
25 minutes away from Valencia City (see Valencia
City for what it has to offer) and 20 minutes
from the golden sandy beaches and warm waters of
the Mediterranean (see Walks)
There is also a magnificent large pool with sun-loungers,
set among the orange groves.
Although the villa has
nine bedrooms, we limit the number of guests
to a maximum of eight so there is always plenty
of space to socialise and enjoy moments of
peace and solitude in a quiet corner.
The atmosphere within the villa itself is
both relaxing and informal and guests are
encouraged to treat the house as a home from
home. |
 |
Fridges are stocked with a weekly supply of wines,
beers and soft drinks for guests to help themselves
to whenever they wish. Tea and coffee making facilities
are also available. Bedrooms are equipped with robes
and slippers and the two lounges have televisions
and useful information on Valencia and the surrounding
areas. For more information see the Villa Milagro
website at www.villamilagro.es
El Ferrajon
 |
Set in an
area dominated by orange groves and vineyards,
El Ferrajon is a fantastic find. An old stone
farmhouse set in mature gardens, it has been
recently restored to a very high standard
providing the comforts of modern life without
compromising the quaint rustic feel that an
old country dwelling such as this should have.
Its five en-suite bedrooms all have beautiful
views and are tastefully furnished with televisions
and luxurious bathrooms. |
Lounge areas have comfortable
sofas and armchairs, television and information
on the surrounding area.
In the grounds there are comfortable patios,
terraces, cascading fountains, flowerbeds,
lush lawns and a magnificent mature fig tree.
A large infinity pool with Jacuzzi and sun
terrace completes the picture. |
 |
Overlooking a pine-clad
hill and surrounded by nothing but countryside,
El Ferrajon is just 30 minutes from Valencia and
20 minutes from the airport while the nearest town,
Chiva, is just 2 kilometres away.
 |
The atmosphere within
the farmhouse itself is both relaxing and
informal and guests are encouraged to treat
the house as a home from home. There is
a selection of beers, wines and soft drinks
as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
El Ferrajon also offers the option of light
evening meals prepared by the housekeeper.

Hotel
El Palen
The family-run Hospederia
El Palen sits above what is widely regarded
to be the best restaurant in Segorbe and has
a relaxed, friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
The 18th century building, once the town's
bakery and oil mill, has eight en-suite, air
conditioned bedrooms, each with television
and telephone. Located in the upper, older
part of Segorbe, some of the rooms have far-reaching
views over the tiled rooftops to the mountains
beyond. The helpful and friendly family staff
will take great care to ensure you enjoy your
stay in their welcoming hotel.
With the heart of Segorbe on your doorstep,
you are just a short walk from the many bars
and restaurants of the town's plaza, the palatial
16th century town hall, the magnificent 13th
century gothic-style cathedral, the remains
of the old city wall and aqueduct, and the
Roman hill fort that crowns the town. |
 |
As Segorbe is famous throughout
Spain for its delicious hams, cured meats and
sausages, picnics will not be a problem. And for
dinner, you could always try the local rice dishes,
stews or, of course, the excellent tapas. A wide
range of fruits and vegetables are also grown
locally, including locquats, cherries, sharonfruit,
apples, pears and olives.
