For sheer variety of scenery the first part of the Northern Camino is the choice.
Starting in the pretty coastal border town of Hondarribia we will track the coast through San Sebastian, Zarautz, Getaria finishing in Deba. We then turn inland for a beautiful forested part of the Camino to Muntibar. After an overnight stay in Durango we return to the coast avoiding the spralling metropolis of Bilbao for a combined coastal and inland stage. Our final day returns inland for another forest walk finishing with lunch “on the rocks”.

Our collection and drop-off point is Bilbao or Bilbao airport and we thoroughly recommend spending a day or two discovering this interesting city. There are direct flights from the UK and frequent flights from Madrid and Barcelona.

Lunch in interesting places is included each walking day as is dinner on the first evening, giving you the chance to enjoy the food for which the Basque country is known.
